the Italian government has recently approved, hidden in the provisions for the receptions of EU legislation and in the silence of media and politics, a decree which imposes a 20% tax on the incoming foreign bank transfers between private citizens.
This is against the spirit of the EU Treaties and incompatible with the conventions against the double taxation that Italy have signed in the past decades with a number of other States. We started collecting signatures against this law to submit them to the incumbent Italian prime minister.
Thanks for taking note of the issue and for sharing among those who might be concerned.
Best regards.
Massimo Bernacconi
The petition succeeded, the government suspended the application of the law on 18 February, we have WON!
